DIY hair masks

It is necessary to take care of hair regularly if you want it to be healthy and beautiful. The beauty industry offers cosmetic creams and expensive salon procedures, but you can look spectacular using homemade hair masks.
Experts advise avoiding using masks that contain synthetic components. Producers of popular cosmetics in 96% of cases add substances that poison the body. However, there is an alternative – homemade hair masks, which are available to anyone.

Egg hair masks

Chicken eggs, especially the yolks, contain a large number of nutritional components, vitamins and microelements. Two procedures a week for a month will make your hair beautiful and more manageable.

Egg + Honey
This mask removes fat, gives a nice sheen to hair while it moisturizes, softens and repairs it.

Ingredients:

  • Egg yolk – 1 pc,
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.

Melt the honey using a water bath, then mix the yolks with warm honey. Rub the resulting paste into the roots, apply the remains to the full length of clean dry hair. Put on a shower cap or plastic bag and wrap a thick towel around your head. After an hour, wash your hair with lukewarm water.

Egg + lemon juice + burdock oil
This mask moisturizes, removes excess fat, fights dandruff, gives natural radiance and stimulates growth.

  • Egg yolks – 2 pcs,
  • Burdock oil – 3 drops,
  • Lemon – ½ fruit.

Mix the yolks with the lemon juice and oil. Having stirred the mixture thoroughly, apply it to clean, dry hair, rubbing it into the roots. Keep the mask on for a half an hour under a plastic shower cap and a towel, and then rinse your hair with water.

Banana Hair Masks

Banana Hair MasksAll oil-free banana masks with no oil in them are made in the same way. Mix until it is completely smooth. Apply to hair, rubbing it into the roots. Keep the mask on for 60 minutes under a plastic shower cap and towel. Then rinse your hair thoroughly without shampoo.

Banana + lemon + egg
A good option for any type of hair. However, if you have very dry and dull hair, then it is better to use the following recipe:

  • ½ lemon,
  • 1 mashed banana,
  • 1 egg.

Banana + honey + lemon
Literally revitalizes dull and dry hair. Apply this mask once every 3 days and in a couple of weeks you will notice that your hair has become vibrant and shiny.

  • 1 banana,
  • 1 tablespoon of honey,
  • ½ lemon juice.

Olive Oil Hair Masks

Olive oil + cinnamon + red pepper + cream

  • 5 gr. Olive oil,
  • 10 gr. cinnamon,
  • 2 gr. red pepper,
  • 20 ml of cream.

Having mixed the spices, add warm olive oil and cream. Apply to dry roots, spreading with a sponge along the parting. Keep the mask on for no more than ten minutes; rinse the hair with a cleansing conditioner. Use the mask twice every 10 days to enhance hair growth.

Olive oil + almond oil + 3 yolks
Mask for the treatment and restoration of hair prone to breakage.

  • 5 ml of olive oil,
  • 15 drops of almond oil,
  • 3 yolks.

Beat the yolks, add the warm oils. Apply to wet hair, and then put on a shower cap and a hat. It is a night mask, so rinse your hair in the morning with a moisturizing shampoo.

Honey Hair Masks

Honey + yolk + dark beer

  • 2 tbsp. of honey,
  • 1 yolk,
  • Dark beer.

Beat yolk with honey. Gradually add beer until the mass is a suitable consistency to apply to the hair. If you have very long strands, then add more ingredients. The mask should be applied to the hair along the entire length. Keep the mask on for 30-40 minutes under a shower cap and towel. Wash it off with warm water. Do not use shampoo.

Honey + pomegranate juice

  • 1 tbsp. of honey,
  • Juice of one pomegranate.

Mix the components; rub the mixture into the skin. Keep the mask for 30-40 minutes under the hat and towel. This mask is good for strengthening hair. You can apply the mask immediately after washing your hair. Wash the mask off without shampoo. For girls with bleached hair it is better not to use this mask, as pomegranate juice can dye hair.

Hydrating Hair Mask

  • Fresh carrot juice,
  • Any vegetable oil.

Mix the ingredients in equal proportion and apply the solution to the hair ends. Keep the mask on for 30-60 minutes and rinse your hair with warm water.

Yogurt + Olive Oil + Honey

  • ½ cup of plain yogurt,
  • 2 tbsp. of olive oil,
  • 1 tbsp. of melted honey.

Apply the solution to the full length of hair. Put on a plastic shower cap and a warm hat. Keep the mask on for 30 minutes and then wash it off.

Protein hair masks

Protein hair masksProtein is one of the main building blocks of strong healthy hair, but since our hair is constantly exposed to the elements, the amount of protein is significantly reduced. This causes brittleness, loss of form as well as strength.

Yogurt + Yolks

  • 1 cup of plain yogurt,
  • 1-2 yolks.

Warm up a glass of yogurt to around 35 degrees, and then add one yolk to it. If the hair is long, it is recommended you add two yolks.

Rub the mixture carefully into the skin with massaging motion. After, apply the mask to the full length of hair. Then you should put on a shower cap and a hat (terry towel, etc.). After 30 minutes, wash the mask off with warm (not hot!) water.

Gelatin + yolk + hair balm

  • 10 g of gelatin,
  • 1 yolk,
  • hair balm.

All components must be thoroughly mixed. Wait 30 minutes to let the gelatin swell. Now you can apply the product to your hair, and then put on a plastic shower cap and towel or stocking hat. Wash the mask off after 30 minutes using shampoo, the water should be slightly cool. It is necessary to repeat the procedure once every few days, until the hair structure is restored.
